Role
The role exists to provide management and delivery of M-ERP and System Implementations and Upgrades across the Ware manufacturing and R&D site(s), as well as the provision of continued business process capability, expertise and support for Ware Data Management processes to provide:
β’ Robust, simple and standardised business processes for all Ware manufacturing and R&D functions
β’ Site ways of working, which are aligned and compliant with the best use of M-ERP
β’ Business process continuous improvement across ADP, GPS and ITIL Service Improvement
As functional expert in multiple business processes (e.g. Quality, Production, Warehouse, Data, Technical etc.) you will deliver continued process improvement through: embedding of good standardised and simplified business processes across all business areas; managing a matrix of functional Business Process Experts, Super Users and Trainers; and through embedding Performance management to monitor, measure and report the value/impacts of the changes.
They will have the responsibility of managing cross-functional, cross-site, and cross-shared service projects; whereby they will have to influence, persuade, and engage with key stakeholders, to ensure business processes and M-ERP/systems simplify and optimise business processes.
Key Responsibilities (include..,)
β’ Critical to the SME role is the ability to deliver multiple multi-functional projects simultaneously, and to ensure that business value is optimized from a Core Global System. This will need detailed understanding of the IT/M-ERP Project lifecycle, from System Design; business mapping; testing; training; implementation; incident management; business as usual support.
β’ The SME manages multi-functional level projects, so will need detailed understanding across all the supply chain - for example, understand the impacts of a M-ERP change in production to the impact this will have on planning or the warehouse; or on other systems/data/processes.
β’ This position has a complete Ware site remit and involves working with all levels of the business at Ware (from operators to SLT); plus involves working with above site departments and offΒ shore agencies. The ability to engage, empower, and manage at all levels of the business - in delivery of the ERP Programme is vital.
β’ The SME is accountable for the Ware Data Management processes on site, including Data Governance, Point of Contact for Tech Mahindra and Shared Field approvals.
β’ The SME must take a strategic assessment (1-3 year plan) of forthcoming M-ERP or system upgrades, ensuring there is the skillset within the site to deliver; utilising project, GPS, and ITMS system delivery tools.
β’ The SME will deliver the data management for Ware strategic projects, ensuring resource owners are aligned. The role will manage the NPI Coordinator and be accountable for the delivery of the Data Process Experts.
β’ Exercising good judgment and make risk-based decisions in delivery of the ERP and site strategic goals; which will need broad and detailed level of the Ware supply chain, strong understanding of the GSK ERP Strategy, and project management & stakeholder expertise.
β’ Engage with above site functions (MES, Global ERP, PSC-IT) to understand potential future upgrades or new technologies and understand the impacts to existing systems & processes.
β’ Utilising excellent analytical ability and communication and interpersonal skills, and high levels of confidence to challenge current thinking/practices - this is important in the ability to: diagnose & resolve complex problems; influence and manage relationships across a complex network; and sell the change proposals and manage politically sensitive issues with discretion and confidence with senior stakeholders.
Fixed Term Contract (FTC) - Please note that this Fixed Term Contract (FTC) is due to run for 18-months.
About You
This role would suit a self-motivated person who has experience of working in a cross-functional, global supply organisation. You will be resilient and calm under pressure. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve and drive performance. You will have a strong continuous improvement mindset and strong demonstrable organisational skills. Experience and competence in the use of SAP / ERP would be preferred.
About Ware Manufacturing Site
We are co-located with our R&D colleagues and recently opened a new, state-of-the-art oral solid dose facility at Ware. At this location our scientists, technicians and engineers (from R&D and Global Supply Chain - GSC) work collaboratively together (using the latest technologies) to rapidly knowledge transfer and deliver GSK's most innovative, medicines faster and more efficiently. On site we produce over 60 million respiratory inhalers each year with growing demand in future years. The site also processes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) for use both on site and other manufacturing sites in our network.

Basic Qualifications
β’ Relevant experience / qualifications in supply chain (eg; supply-chain, scheduling, M-ERP, Data Management)
β’ Operational knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes associated with a dosage form.
β’ Experience working in a cGMP aligned pharmaceutical environment.
