Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, architect, and develop high-performance, interactive data visualizations using React, Deck.gl, and supporting technologies
β’ Lead a team of visualization engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective visual storytelling.
β’ Optimize rendering performance for large-scale geospatial and temporal datasets.
β’ Ensure visualizations are accessible, intuitive, and responsive across devices.
β’ Maintain a scalable visualization codebase, implementing best practices in testing, performance, and maintainability.
β’ Stay current on trends in data visualization and front-end technologies to guide the team's innovation.

Required Qualifications
β’ 8+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 2 years focused on data visualization.
β’ Proficiency in React.js and Deck.gl (including Layers, Views, and integration with Carto).
β’ Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS, and rendering pipelines (WebGL, Canvas).
β’ Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., D3.js, Lodash) and working with APIs or large datasets.
β’ Familiarity with geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, TopoJSON, tilesets) and coordinate systems.
β’ Experience leading engineering projects or small teams.
β’ Excellent communication and visual storytelling skills.
