Data Visualization Developer

Primary Services is actively recruiting for a skilled Data Visualization Developer to support a leading enterprise in the energy industry. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain application programs while collaborating closely with business clients and IT teams. The Data Visualization Developer will play a key role in ensuring the stability, accuracy, and efficiency of high-volume systems while providing subject matter expertise and technical solutions for complex business problems. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain application programs in a collaborative environment. • Develop and maintain reports using SQL queries, SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio Code, Power BI, and SSRS. • Provide support and monitoring for systems supporting business clients, including after-hours support when necessary. • Gather and document system requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. • Develop new system functionality, including custom code and packaged application configuration. • Ensure smooth transition from development to operations, including creation of process control points, automated monitoring, and operational procedures. • Regularly report status and escalate issues or risks as appropriate. • Collaborate with team members and operational groups to prioritize work and remove roadblocks. • Interface with IT application owners to provide solutions and resolve conflicts. • Research, evaluate, and recommend options to ensure a robust and stable infrastructure. • Maintain technical documentation and remain up-to-date on relevant technologies and best practices. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing ETL solutions (SSIS preferred). • Minimum of 2 years experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database environments. • Minimum of 2 years experience writing stored procedures, T-SQL/PL-SQL, functions, and SQL queries. • Experience with report writing best practices, including optimization and use of joins/sub-queries. • Experience with manual and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Proficiency with SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Visual Studio, or other reporting platforms. • Minimum of 1 year experience with high-volume data exchange and transaction processing systems. • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies. • Experience with application configuration, testing, maintenance, and support activities. • Knowledge of relational database concepts and ETL best practices. • Technical documentation and ad hoc analysis experience. • Optional: experience with C#, VB.net, Python, automation tools like Control-M, and retail energy systems.
