Role description
Data Visualization Developer (Power BI/Tableau Migration)
Location: Remote (Must work EST or CST hours)
Shift: MondayβFriday, 8:00 AM β 5:00 PM EST/CST
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Key Skills Required
β’ Power BI (4+ years)
β’ SQL (4+ years, with strong SSMS experience)
β’ Business Intelligence (5+ years)
β’ Relational Databases and Dimensional Modeling (3β8 years)
β’ Agile development methodology
β’ Tableau (desired)
Preferred Qualifications
β’ 6+ years of experience in BI or data analytics
β’ 6+ years of experience using Power BI
β’ 3+ years of Tableau experience
β’ Background in healthcare analytics, especially within Home Health (e.g., Home Care Home Base, OASIS datasets)
Project Overview
This opportunity is focused on migrating existing Tableau reports to Power BI. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical curiosity and the ability to independently identify problems and design effective data solutions.
Work Sample Requirement
Applicants must submit a sample of their previous work (in .pbix or PDF format), including visuals andβideallyβdata model details. Redact sensitive information as necessary.
Responsibilities
β’ Lead the development of dashboards and data visualizations supporting clinical and quality performance measures.
β’ Analyze source systems, identify data sources, and define transformation and modeling requirements.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, operations) to gather requirements and deliver actionable analytics.
β’ Serve as a technical product owner for data visualization products, defining both business and technical specifications.
β’ Support development of KPIs and data standards across multiple departments.
β’ Educate stakeholders on how to use and interpret dashboards and reports.
β’ Contribute to the development of measurement methodologies, quality benchmarks, and performance indicators.
Position Requirements
Education:
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience:
β’ Demonstrated experience working with clinical or healthcare data is a strong plus.
β’ Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (e.g., Data Factory, SQL Warehouse) is a plus.
Skills:
β’ Strong communication and documentation abilities
β’ Ability to perform ad hoc data analysis using Excel or Azure SQL
β’ Skilled in translating business needs into technical specifications
β’ Ability to lead discussions with diverse stakeholder groups to clarify ambiguous requirements
Travel:
β’ Minimal travel required (β€ 25%)
