Data Visualization Specialist
Job Summary
Our client in Palo Alto, CA is looking for a Data Visualization Specialist. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do
The primary focus of this role will be to assist with a large migration of existing Tableau dashboards to Hex. This project involves rethinking and optimizing visualizations, ensuring data accuracy, and enhancing the overall user experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in SQL and Python, an understanding of the modern data stack, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities
• Work with the lead charging analytics engineer to understand charging systems & data.
• Develop data assets, tools, and dashboards that provide rich visualization, self-service, and high accuracy insights to charging partners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Our Client´s Adventure Network partners: Go-to-Market, product management, software engineering, and business stakeholders to develop dashboard and tool requirements.
Most Important Skills/Responsibilities
• Develop data assets, tools, and dashboards that provide rich visualization, self-service, and high accuracy insights to charging partners and stakeholders.
• Experience developing user-facing applications and visualizations in Hex, Plotly Dash, R Shiny, Python or similar platforms with focus on user experience and presentation.
• Strong communicator, adapts presenting technical solutions to senior stakeholders and building relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Basics
What You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, analytics, or equivalent practical experience, 3+ years of analytics focused experience.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong proficiency developing data visualizations in Python’s Plotly or similar packages.
• Experience developing user-facing applications in Hex, Plotly Dash, R Shiny, or similar platforms with focus on user experience and presentation.
• Extremely detail and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Salary range: 70k - 96k annual.
Preferred
• Advanced proficiency with Hex.
• Experience with git, DBT, Databricks, AWS.
• Experience or knowledge of the energy industry, EV charging, or software systems is a huge plus.
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams.
• Strong communicator, adapts presenting technical solutions to senior stakeholders and building relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
