Data Warehouse Architect

Role : Sr. Data Warehouse Architect Sr. Role with 13/14+ Years of experience in IT industry Long term Contract with possibility of extension Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid) About the Role Our direct client is seeking a Data Warehouse Architect / ETL Developer to support its enterprise data analytics initiative. This initiative strengthens audit planning, increases recoveries from fraud, waste, and abuse, and improves operational efficiency through advanced analytics and business intelligence. You will work closely with the Data Analytics & First New York teams within the Division of the Chief Information Officer to expand and enhance the analytics infrastructure and tools environment. You will play a key role in architecting and enhancing a formally designed analytics data warehouse environment that supports examiners, auditors, and analytics staff. Responsibilities include: • Reviewing and analyzing existing ETL processes and external data sources • Designing and architecting solutions to support structured and unstructured datasets • Implementing and migrating ETL environments, including fact and dimensional models based on business requirements • Supporting Tableau and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) dashboard design • Developing ETL processes to onboard newly acquired data into a secure analytics environment • Supporting data exchanges with external agencies/entities • Providing additional data analytics development services as needed Candidates must have: • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent four-year degree) in Computer Science or a related IT field, OR a Master’s/Doctorate in Computer Science or related field • Minimum 4 years of experience developing and maintaining data interchange systems integrating diverse data sources (flat files, direct database connections, XML transactions) • Minimum 4 years of experience with ETL tools (e.g., Qlik, Informatica) • Minimum 4 years of data modeling experience • Minimum 4 years of experience developing data analytics ETL environments • Minimum 4 years of experience coding in SQL Preferred Qualifications • Python scripting experience • Tableau Server Administration experience • Experience gathering business requirements, performing data validation, or troubleshooting with stakeholders • Academic or professional experience applying statistics • SQL and/or PL/SQL database development experience • Experience building ETL environments supporting Tableau visualizations • Experience supporting data analytics programs within a government entity
