Data Warehouse Developer 6 Month+ Contract Outside IR35 Remote โ€ข NHS EPR Experience ESSENTIAL โ€ข Your new company You'll be joining a forward-thinking NHS Trust committed to delivering high-quality care through data-driven decision-making. The Informatics team plays a vital role in supporting clinical and operational services, and this role sits at the heart of the Trust's data infrastructure, supporting national reporting, financial reconciliation, and strategic planning. Your new role As a Data Warehouse Developer, you'll work closely with the Data Architect to maintain and enhance the Trust's Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (BI) architecture. You'll be responsible for ensuring performance, scalability, and governance across a secure data infrastructure, with a strong focus on NHS Electronic Patient Records (EPRs) and national datasets such as SUS, SLAM, and HES.You'll act as a technical expert across the Trust, supporting SQL Server, Power BI, and PostgreSQL environments, and will play a key role in mentoring junior staff, delivering training, and collaborating with stakeholders across clinical and operational teams. What you'll need to succeed โ€ข Significant experience in a Senior Developer role. โ€ข Demonstrable experience in NHS Acute/Community Trusts or equivalent senior developer roles. โ€ข Proven track record in maintaining and developing Data Warehouse and BI architecture. โ€ข Experience acting as a technical expert across departments. โ€ข Desirable: Experience mentoring junior staff and delivering specialist training. Knowledge & Skills: โ€ข Expert knowledge of NHS Data Manual, Information Standards, and national data flows. โ€ข Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Power BI, and Data Warehousing architectures. โ€ข Ability to communicate complex analytical issues clearly to varied audiences. โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills. โ€ข Desirable: Technical knowledge of PostgreSQL.
