Summary:
β’ The purpose of the Database Engineer role is to enable successful vendor onboarding by supporting tax platform testing through data extraction, comparison, reconciliation, and scripting, as well as by designing and building targeted inβhouse automation solutions to streamline tax data processes and controls.
β’ Develop, execute, and maintain queries and other data testing scripts for vendor platform validation
β’ Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) by validating data outputs
β’ Perform complex data reconciliations across internal systems, vendor platforms, and downstream consumers
β’ Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets used for tax reporting and cost basis
β’ Partner with business and technology teams to troubleshoot data discrepancies
β’ Assist with the design and development of inβhouse automation solutions supporting tax operations
Qualifications:
β’ Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
β’ Strong technical / programming skills and experience working with relational databases
β’ Experience supporting system implementations, testing, or large data conversion efforts
β’ Handsβon experience with data reconciliation, validation, and analysis Ability to work with large, complex datasets in regulated environments
β’ Experience supporting tax reporting, cost basis, or financial services platforms
β’ Prior exposure to Broadridge, BETA / Maxit, or similar vendor solutions
β’ Experience building automation using scripting languages, Alteryx, PowerBI, Xceptor, etc
β’ Familiarity with data controls, audit support, and regulatory reporting environments
β’ Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models
