Role description
Role: PLM Business Analyst Type: Contract Location: Los Angeles CA Key Responsibilities: β€’ Partner with business stakeholders to gather, organize, and document business and system requirements for new requests, enhancements, and process improvements. β€’ Help define the business problem, clarify objectives, identify key requirements, and support scoping for incoming work. β€’ Serve as a point of coordination between business users and technical teams to ensure clear communication and shared understanding. β€’ Support day-to-day issue triage, troubleshooting, and resolution across business platforms and third-party systems. β€’ Assist with testing activities, including test case preparation, validation of new functionality, and bug tracking. β€’ Create and maintain documentation such as process flows, business requirements, SOPs, release notes and user guides. β€’ Help monitor system usage, data quality, and process adherence, and support analysis that improves system effectiveness and data integrity. β€’ Participate in project implementation activities from requirements gathering through testing, training and post-launch support. β€’ Support cross-functional meetings by capturing action items, following up on open questions, and helping keep work organized and moving forward. β€’ Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across departments and develop an understanding of the business processes supported by technology. β€’ Help ensure changes stay within agreed scope and that new out-of-scope requests are properly documented and routed through the intake process. Qualifications: β€’ 3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, project coordination, technology operations, or a related role. β€’ Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear documentation. β€’ Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. β€’ Analytical mindset with the ability to break down problems and identify practical solutions. β€’ Comfort working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. β€’ Basic understanding of business systems, software development lifecycle concepts, and system implementation processes. β€’ Experience with requirements documentation, testing, data analysis, or process mapping is a plus. β€’ Exposure to PLM, ERP, retail, supply chain, merchandising, or apparel industry systems is a plus. β€’ Familiarity with tools such as Asana, SharePoint, ticketing systems, Excel, and reporting or BI tools is a plus. β€’ SQL or other technical/reporting skills are a plus.
