Title: Database Engineer Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204 ORNewark, DE 19713 Duration: 6-month contract to hire Must Haves: • 7-10+ years of experience as a database engineer managing mission-critical cloud-based databases and infrastructure in a highly regulated environment • Experience in strategic planning, project management, and implementing technology solutions that support business objectives • Database Services: Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, DynamoDB • Operating Systems: Linux, Windows Server • Dynatrace (they use this for monitoring but would like this resource to explore what else Dynatrace can do) • AWS • Idera and OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) for database management and performance monitoring • Oracle RAC/Dataguard/Active Data Guard Setup and Optimization • Experience Balancing Cost/Performance and Criticality Responsibilities: Insight Global is searching for an experienced Database Engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana or Newark, Delaware. This resource will manage and optimize mission-critical cloud-based databases in a regulated environment, ensuring stability, efficiency, and preparedness for high-volume scenarios. They will leverage monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Idera, and OEM to proactively detect issues and enhance observability while refining database procedures for long-term sustainability and improved development workflows. Additionally, they will evaluate technology solutions to balance cost and operational resilience, consolidate monitoring tools into Dynatrace dashboards for deeper performance insights, and guide the team in utilizing Dynatrace AI for troubleshooting and database performance analysis. Compensation: $60/hr to $90/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
