The ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook) Engineer is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of ELN systems used in scientific research and laboratory environments. They work closely with scientists, IT, and quality teams to ensure ELN solutions meet regulatory requirements, enhance data integrity, and streamline lab workflows.
β’ Configure, deploy, and maintain Benchling Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) to support R&D and laboratory workflows.
β’ Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to gather user requirements and translate them into Benchling workflows.
β’ Design and implement templates, protocols, and structured data capture forms within Benchling.
β’ Support integration of Benchling with other lab systems (e.g., LIMS, data lakes, instruments) via APIs and middleware.
Requirements:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
β’ 3+ years of experience implementing and configuring Benchling ELN.
β’ Strong understanding of laboratory operations and scientific workflows.
β’ Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
β’ Experience development dashboards & custom reports leveraging Bartender.
β’ Experience with Zebra printers & barcoding technologies.
β’ Experience working in a scientific research environment.
β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
β’ Ability to deliver on tight timelines.
β’ Solid understanding of development best practices including SDLC.
β’ Experience with computer system validation.
Contract: W2.
