Database Engineer/Application Managed Services (AMS)
Remote
3+ years contract
Responsibilities
• Understands the mainframe DB2 data structure, performance, and access controls.
• Implements Guardium agents or collections on the DB2
• Works with developers to apply security remediations (e.g., CIS, CVE, Guardium Vulnerabilities).
• Needs Guardium configuration guidelines for DB2 on Mainframe and LUW.
• Support from security and architecture teams for agent deployment.
• Test and validate changes without disrupting operation.
Required Technical Skills
• DB2 zOS (7-10)
• Pentaho
• Experience with Security Remediation
• Scripting and QMF
• Configuring DB2 Audit
• Configure log data push or pull with SIEM tools (Splunk)
Required Soft Skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Ability to work in highly collaborative environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have skills:
• DB2 LUW (Windows)
• Postgres
• Microsoft SQL
• Azure DevOps
