Role description
We are seeking a talented Data/BI Consultant to support a major migration project from MicroStrategy to Tableau. This role offers the opportunity to lead innovative data architecture initiatives while collaborating with a dynamic team. Responsibilities • Own the design and implementation of the BI architecture, ensuring alignment with future state goals. • Lead the conversion process from MicroStrategy to Tableau, including inventory and mapping of existing content. • Document architecture decisions and develop reference designs for seamless integration. • Establish and maintain the semantic layer, defining KPIs, metrics, and ensuring data quality and governance. • Optimize performance through effective query plans and validation frameworks. • Facilitate the adoption of data practices, providing guidance and support to analysts and team members. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and enhance data management processes. Skills • Proven experience in data management, database design, and related fields. • Strong proficiency in SQL and familiarity with NoSQL technologies. • Expertise in data warehousing and ETL processes. • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy. Preferred Skills • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Familiarity with big data technologies and data modeling tools. • Background in developing data governance policies and best practices. • Capability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
