Role Description
Experienced Databricks Administrator to manage, optimize, and maintain our Databricks environment on the AWS cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for workspace administration, cluster configuration, security implementation, and performance tuning. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our data teams have a stable, secure, and efficient platform for analytics and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Manage Databricks workspaces, clusters, pools, and user access using Identity and Access Management (IAM).
β’ Configure and secure the integration between Databricks and AWS services, including S3, Glue, and EC2.
β’ Implement and manage security best practices, including network configurations (VPC peering), access control lists (ACLs), and data encryption.
β’ Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cluster configurations for cost and efficiency.
β’ Automate administrative tasks and deployments using scripting (Python/Bash) and CI/CD tools.
β’ Support data scientists, engineers, and analysts with their platform-related needs.
Qualifications:
β’ Proven experience as a Databricks Administrator or Platform Engineer.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with core AWS services (S3, IAM, EC2, VPC).
β’ Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
β’ Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.
β’ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
