Role description
Databricks Data Engineer £400 per day | Inside IR35 | 6-Month Contract | Fully Remote We are currently seeking a Databricks Engineer to support a large-scale data platform migration project, moving from Azure SQL to Databricks. Working as part of an established data team, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising data solutions whilst ensuring the successful migration of existing workloads into a modern Databricks environment.Key Responsibilities • Support the migration of data workloads from Azure SQL to Databricks • Design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines • Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes within Azure and Databricks • Collaborate with data architects, engineers and business stakeholders • Ensure data quality, integrity and performance throughout the migration • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues • Contribute to best practices across data engineering and platform developmentRequired Skills & Experience • Strong commercial experience with Databricks • Advanced SQL development skills • Experience working within Microsoft Azure environments • Proven track record delivering data migration projects • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines • Knowledge of data warehousing and modern data architectures • Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skillsDesirable Skills • Experience with Azure Data Factory • Python or PySpark development experience • Experience working within cloud data transformation programmes • Understanding of data governance and security best practicesContract Details • 6-Month Contract • £400 per day • Inside IR35 • Fully Remote • Immediate start preferred (17th August is penciled start date) If you have strong Databricks, SQL and Azure experience and have worked on data migration projects, we'd love to hear from you.
