Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Databricks Developer with strong Python and Big Data expertise to join a dynamic team modernizing data pipelines and frameworks. This role requires hands-on development, collaboration with stakeholders, and experience in cloud platforms (preferably AWS). The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in Databricks, PySpark, and SQL, along with strong communication and DevOps familiarity.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and develop scalable, framework-based applications on Databricks
β’ Translate business concepts into rapid prototypes and production-ready solutions
β’ Build and optimize data pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL
β’ Work in Unix/Linux environments for scripting, system monitoring, and issue resolution
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners to align technical solutions with business needs
β’ Operate in an Agile delivery environment
β’ Apply DevOps practices for CI/CD using tools like Git and Jenkins
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ 7+ years of overall IT experience
β’ 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud development (preferably AWS; other clouds acceptable)
β’ Strong hands-on programming with Python (Java or J2EE also a plus)
β’ Deep knowledge of Big Data technologies, especially Spark and PySpark
β’ Strong experience with complex SQL and data modeling
β’ Proficiency in version control tools like Git
β’ Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
β’ Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
