Role description
Akkodis is seeking a Data/Business Analyst - Strong Access for a Contract position with a client located in Exton, PA (Remote).
Pay Range: $55/hr - $65/hr, The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors
What the client is looking for:
Key responsibilities:
This is primarily a Data Analyst. Candidate should have a strong Data background in analyzing data sets from 3rd party to integrate and migrate into systems for their clients. Strong access skills and SQL querying skills to include writing new queries....this person will NOT be writing Business requirements or interfacing with users. They will be primarily analyzing and querying data and need to be what Wayne referred to as a Human Calculator. Someone who is comfortable with data ....all day long.
Essential Functions:
β’ Responsible for all of, or certain aspects of, a Professional Services project, such as a merger/acquisition, new client implementation, interface development, or ongoing client support. This may include leading individualized projects or being the lead for the business side of a conversion or interface project.
β’ Perform preliminary project analysis functions. This may include file analysis and client procedure analysis.
β’ Gathering and analyzing business requirements and preparing functional business documents as they relate to a conversion or implementation project. These may include data mapping documents, conversion strategy documents, validation and reconciliation documents, test script development, System Administration value design, and general ledger design.
β’ Gathering and analyzing business requirements and preparing functional business documents as they relate to an interface project. This may include functional requirements, field mapping, test scripts, and use cases.
β’ Leading an interface production support effort. This would include issue analysis, new enhancements, and related testing of interface results.
β’ Assist technical team members in understanding business objectives as they relate to their coding efforts.
β’ Assign to team members subordinates appropriate project tasks within your realm of responsibility. This may mean taking on certain detailed project tasks yourself.
β’ Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and monitor their efforts. Guide as necessary.
β’ Participate in project meetings with team members and with clients. Discuss open project issues under your area of responsibility.
β’ Interact with clients as necessary to resolve questions and project issues.
β’ Provide updates to project management as necessary and work with project management to prioritize and resolve project issues.

β’ Works independently without supervision as well as in a team environment. Able to direct and/or instruct members of a project team or mentor an individual. Able to work in a fast-paced project team environment with set timelines for completion of work.
β’ Requires little or no additional assistance to complete all tasks in a timely, efficient manner. Must be self-motivated and have a strong ability to multitask.
β’ Maintains focus on project priorities, deadlines, and needs. Understands and follows project methodology. Can prepare project documents with little or no assistance.
β’ Ability to determine and communicate the impact and scope of change across a project.
β’ Takes an active role in communicating project needs and can identify and resolve most issues that arise during a project.
β’ Assumes an active leadership role and the leadership role as assigned.
β’ Has a good working knowledge of MS Office products and can assist others with these applications.
β’ Has a basic understanding of advanced concepts associated with banking and lending.
β’ Has a strong working knowledge of AFS Lending Products (Level III, AFSVision, etc), including data entry skills.
β’ Has a good working knowledge of Professional Services processes and software.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
β’ Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, finance, information systems, or preferred or relevant commercial banking business experience
β’ Experience: 3 + years of business experience working in information technology, financial accounting, or banking, especially valuable commercial banking experience, preferably in commercial loan accounting or commercial lending and/or with AFS systems, Level III or AFSVision.
β’ Computer Skills: Competency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access, and MS PowerPoint. Knowledge of relational databases preferred, working with MS Access. Understanding of networks, security, and/or database systems is highly preferred
