Role description
Role: Datacap Developer
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement IBM Datacap capture solutions for automated document processing using native Engines as well as Integration with AWS Services such as Textract and Comprehend
- Customize IBM Content Navigator interfaces to optimize user workflows and experience
- Create and maintain rulesets, workflows, and actions within the Datacap environment
- Develop and integrate custom C# components to extend Datacap functionality
- Build Java-based plugins and extensions for Content Navigator
- Write optimized SQL Server integration code and stored procedures for data handling
- Design and develop database integration components between Datacap and SQL Server
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Document all development work, unit tests, configurations, and customizations
- Optimize system performance and implement best practices for scalability
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on exp with IBM Datacap implementation and customization
- 3+ years of experience with IBM Content Navigator customization
- Strong programming skills in both C# and Java
- Expert-level knowledge of SQL Server, including writing complex stored procedures and integration code
- Proficiency with Git version control systems and branching strategies
- Experience with Datacap Studio, Datacap FastDoc, and Datacap Taskmaster
- Proficiency in developing custom Datacap actions and rulesets
- Knowledge of Content Navigator plugin architecture and API
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Understanding of document capture workflows and image processing concepts
