Role description
Job Title: DataPower Developer / Middleware Engineer Job location: London Experience: 5–7 years Location: Hybrid Employment Type: Contract Required Skills & Experience 5–7 years of professional experience in middleware/integration development and environment support. Strong IBM DataPower development experience – WSP, MPGW, REST APIs, XSLT/XPATH, and security policies. Solid understanding of environment support activities including deployment, configuration management, and troubleshooting. Experience with incident/problem management and working in ITIL-based support environments. Knowledge of API security (OAuth, JWT, certificates, WS-Security). Exposure to DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, or similar) is desirable. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Growth mindset with willingness to explore AWS services and Mainframe technologies. Nice-to-Have Skills AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect – Associate) Exposure to Mainframe systems (CICS, MQ, COBOL APIs, etc.) Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and API Gateways (Kong, Apigee, Mulesoft).
