Datastage Developer (W2 Only-Open for Sponsorship)

Job Title: DataStage Developer Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid – Onsite Day 1) Type: 6-Month Contract (Possible Extension/Conversion) Visa friendly Role- Open for sponsorship Note W2 Only no C2C Job Description We are seeking a seasoned developer to support multiple software development initiatives, with an initial focus on IBM DataStage. The role involves hands-on development, maintenance, and enhancement of code across SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2 environments. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Information Management team and contribute to broader banking applications. Responsibilities • Design, test, debug, document, and implement programs. • Consult with users to design, modify, and explain program changes or provide technical support. • Resolve production issues and ensure stability of deployed systems. • Serve as project lead when required in the development of automated systems or procedures. • Provide direction, mentorship, and training to other team members. • Support overnight and weekend implementations as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned to support ongoing initiatives. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related field or 5+ years of professional IT experience. • 5+ years of overall IT experience. • 3+ years of hands-on development experience with IBM DataStage. • 3+ years of experience with relational databases/SQL, including complex table structures. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Unix shell scripting. • Familiarity with Zena. • Experience with Kafka. • Knowledge of DB2. • Additional coding experience (e.g., Python). • Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies. • Ability to work independently and multitask in a collaborative environment. • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and analytical skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement. • Customer service focus and team-first mindset.
