Job SummaryWork location: Detroit, MI or Chorlette, NC (3 days in office) Day-to-day operation of ETL platforms, with knowledge of IBM DataStage 11.7 and CP4D (Cloud Pak for Data), WebSphere, Unix administration, AWS Cloud and OpenShift Platform. Knowledge of Enterprise change and incident management, DevOps, enterprise scheduling and monitoring tools. Serve as platform lead to provide leadership in the support for our applications for both Engineering and Sustain teams serving various Business Units. The Engineer will serve as Subject matter expert in the ETL products including 11.7 and CP4D used by Application and assist in performance troubleshooting, Incident, Problem, Capacity and Change management. Job Responsibilities Develop and drive technical implementation and support for IT projects that require ETL, IBM DataStage 11.7 and CP4D. Installation and configuration to meeting application requirements. Subject matter expert for IBM DataStage CP4D platform running on AWS Public Cloud on ROSA OpenShift environment Automate and delegate operational tasks. Identify and contribute to automation activities. Implement automation that will support regular operational activities – patching, health checks, application operational tasks etc. Analyze and resolve ETL Platform vulnerabilities by coordinating with impacted teams Follow DevOps principles and enable faster delivery of projects and operations activities. Work closely with Application teams to support DevOps initiatives. Implement DevOps practices using automation tools. Work as a team. Assist and direct technical resources to accomplish project tasks for IBM DataStage 11.7 and CP4DManage and support Incident/Problem management for Applications. Assist in Remediation and Root Cause analysis of the incidents. Participate in defect triage and work with project team/vendors to resolve prioritized defect fixes. Identify repeating patterns and opportunities for automation. Manage and support Change/Release management for Application. Review/approve Change Requests. Implement and Support Change/Release activities for Applications. Identify repeating patterns and opportunities for automation. Identify and manage Operational issues/risks to closure and provide proper visibility to stakeholders Participate in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy Work closely with the Architecture and Engineering team to explore and evaluate ETL product and cloud solution Qualifications MS and 10+ years in a technical role or equivalent with Infrastructure and ETL experience in 11.7 and CP4DAbility to work autonomously, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment. Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to software development Extensive breadth of experience delivering complex technical projects that require middleware platform. Support Applications on a day-to-day basis in Incident/Problem/Change/Capacity/Performance management. Knowledge of the DevOps Principles and ITIL Best Practices. Excellent technical skills, experience in implementing and supporting Application Servers. Ability to understand the complex implementations of applications and their interactions with different systems. Knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating systems. Strong leadership and communication skills Mandatory Platform Technical/Soft Skills: 10+ years overall IT experience with Supporting IBM DataStage Platform 11.7 and CP4DExperience in DataStage operations: solving issues with loading batches, schedules, patching, etc. DataStage design and development. Export and Import of the Jobs in DataStage 11.7 and CP4DExperience on AWS Offering EC2, EFS, EBS, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, etc. Experience on CI/CD implementations like GITLAB, GITHUB. Working knowledge of Terraform, Dynatrace Scheduling tools like Control M Basic knowledge of Unix shell scripting and SQL. Knowledge on automation tools like Ansible, Udeploy. Knowledge of Unix script and Python. Knowledge on code repository like SVN, Bitbucket, Gitlab. In-depth knowledge of Snowflake Database. Experience with Public Cloud - AWS. Terraform Scripts. Extensive middleware SSL certificate management expertise. Experience executing deployments and troubleshooting in a 24/7 production environment. Must be self-motivated, eager to learn and willing to take direction. Serves as a technical expert to our business partners. Acts as a liaison between the development teams and infrastructure teams to ensure consistency and commonality in technology standards. The candidate must be able to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and can communicate well with technical and non-technical personnel. Organized and detail-oriented, with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Platform Technical/Soft Skills: Load-balancing, DNS and networking expertise. Good SQL skills - Oracle Database 12c and 19c, Snowflake. Experience in Agile / SCRUM (with sprints) methodologies. Experience with Jira. Knowledge about IBM – Cloud Pak for Data. Contribute to documentation of key artifacts such as IT bill of materials, system design document, run book etc. Provides technical expertise in the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the enterprise. Flexible work schedule to support after hours and weekends (as needed) to deploy product releases in predefined, maintenance windows.
