DB2 Engineer (Hybrid)

Job Title: DB2 Engineer (Hybrid) Location: Washington, DC Duration: 12 Months+ Job Description: Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer 16+ Years of experience managing and maintaining DB2 databases on IBM System Z mainframes Position will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of standards, naming conventions, and ongoing deployment of a multi-data center DB2 environment, including disaster recovery, high availability, and data center relocation projects. Must have extensive experience with the installation, support, and roll-out of DB2 components, BMC Tools and Utilities, and related products. Must have complete familiarity with z/OS, TSO/ISPF and IBM utilities. Experience with SMP/E, Sysplex environments, and DB2 integration with WLM is desired. The position will provide technical support to application and data center staff. Additional desired skills are Oracle, SQL, z/VM, Linux and MVS systems, familiarity with the BMC MainView monitoring tool, is desired. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Position will require project leadership in support of data center projects and strategic initiatives.
