Description Hybrid in Tempe, AZ 6 month contract / might extend or convert to FTE Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 5 or more data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Technical Ownership: Design, implement, and maintain robust data transformation pipelines using DBT Core, Airflow, and Redshift. Strategic Planning: Partner with leadership to define and execute the vision and roadmap for the data engineering function. Standardization: Develop and enforce standard templates and patterns for ETL processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability. Upskilling & Best Practices: Lead visibility projects and provide hands-on guidance to junior engineers, promoting best practices in data modeling, testing, and documentation. Stabilization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring a stable and efficient data environment. Demonstrated success in leading data engineering teams and delivering complex projects. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT best practices and data modeling techniques. Experience working closely with leadership on strategic initiatives and roadmaps. Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
