Role description
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join a leading marketing and brand analytics team. This role focuses on managing data ingestion and transformation projects, optimising dbt models, and supporting Looker dashboards. You will work closely with marketing and brand stakeholders to ensure data processes are accurate, documented, and maintainable.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Own and manage brand and media data ingestion and transformation processes.
β’ Review and optimise dbt models (15-20 models) for completeness, accuracy, and automation.
β’ Maintain and document Snowflake assets, ingested tables, and analytics workflows.
β’ Support governance, process cleanup, and monthly reporting.
β’ Collaborate with marketing stakeholders, legal, and technical teams to ensure accurate data flow and reporting.
β’ Assist in delivering Looker dashboards and front-end experiences.
Technical Skills & Experience:
β’ Strong experience with dbt, Looker, and Snowflake (or other cloud data platforms).
β’ Knowledge of data ingestion and transformation processes (stakeholder-facing, not necessarily coding).
β’ Experience with marketing analytics and brand/media data preferred.
β’ Strong documentation, process governance, and problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills:
β’ Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
β’ Self-starter with excellent organisational skills.
β’ Detail-oriented, particularly with marketing and brand/media data.
Team & Stakeholders:
β’ Work within a marketing analytics engineering team, supported by project/program managers.
β’ Engage with brand, media, marketing, legal, and technical stakeholders.
