About The Role
This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance.
FDM is seeking a DDI Engineer located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC to support a project in the Banking sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 but may be extended.
This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.
About You
The DDI Engineer is responsible for designing tools and services within a technical domain that support business strategies while adhering to architectural governance and standards. This role focuses on creating infrastructure tools, facilitating technical solution deployments, and continuously improving efficiency in tool/service implementation and maintenance. The
engineer will provide technical leadership for DNS, DHCP, and IP Address (DDI) services, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enhancing availability, functionality, and security.
Requirements:
β’ 5 - 7 years of leadership experience as a technical lead
β’ 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience with BlueCat Networks products, BIND DNS, and
DHCP protocols
β’ 5 - 7 years of experience with IP Address Management
β’ 3 - 5 years of experience with VMWare

β’ Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills
β’ Ability to participate in project scoping, estimating, delivery and other work
β’ Proven ability to matrix-manage direct and cross-functional teams
β’ Excellent verbal skills to communicate effectively with people who have varying
degrees of technical expertise
β’ Experience running projects, tracking tasks, and timelines.
Responsibilities
β’ Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
β’ Assists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
β’ Assists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
β’ Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
β’ Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
β’ Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
β’ Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains
β’ Provides technical leadership and delivery strategy for DNS, DHCP, and IP Address (DDI) Services to align business requirements to technical solutions
β’ Works with lines of business to translate/align business requirements for delivery of the DDI services
β’ Analyzes and understands a variety of existing and emerging business requirements, interfacing with technology engagement teams as a seasoned DDI engineer/administrator.
