JOB ROLE :-  Defect Triage and Analysis Specialist (IAT Engineer) JD Automotive Infotainment Domain An IAT Engineer in this context is a defect triage and analysis specialist within the automotive infotainment ecosystem. They act as a bridge between evaluation teams, product owners, and development teams to ensure that reported issues are quickly understood, categorized, and routed for resolution. Key Responsibilities 1. Defect Triage & Analysis: Perform first-level analysis of reported defects to distinguish between environmental/setup issues, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) vs. server-side problems, and assign them to the correct teams (HU, Server, Tier1, Tier2). 1. Dashboard Monitoring: Continuously track the defect dashboard, organize and drive triage calls, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved promptly. 1. Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners (POs), evaluators, and developers to clarify defect details and track progress. 1. Reporting: Create dashboards and reports to communicate defect status and trends to management and stakeholders. Core Skills & Knowledge 1. Automotive Infotainment Expertise: Hands-on experience with embedded software development (C/C++/Linux) and knowledge of in-vehicle infotainment systems. 1. Tools: Proficient with JIRA, Confluence, log analysis tools, and familiar with DLT logs and DLT-Viewer. 1. System Understanding: Strong grasp of system architecture concepts—software design, sequence diagrams, APIs, HTTP error codes. 1. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Linux commands/utilities and basic Python scripting for automation. 1. Methodologies: Experienced with Agile/Scrum processes and requirements analysis. Personal Attributes 1. Analytical thinker with the ability to “think on their feet” and quickly isolate root causes. 1. Organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple defect streams simultaneously. 1. Effective communicator who can coordinate across distributed teams. 1. Eager to learn and adaptable to evolving automotive infotainment technologies. Preferred Experience (Not mandatory) 1. Real-time embedded software design, development, and debugging. 1. Advanced knowledge of reading and filtering DLT logs for deeper diagnostics.
