Description
We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer for a contract-to-hire role based in Englewood, CO. This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining technical systems and software, with a strong focus on automation, deployment, and operational excellence.
4 days onsite, 1 day remote in Englewood, CO
Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems.
β’ Perform engineering design evaluations and contribute to the development of a range of products.
β’ Recommend design and development alterations to improve product quality and procedures.
β’ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production software issues.
β’ Develop and implement monitoring solutions and perform software maintenance.
β’ Establish standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness.
β’ Provide recommendations on testing techniques and process improvements.
β’ Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines; work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor or manager.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
β’ 6 to 8 years of experience in engineering or a related field.
β’ Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
Experience with:
β’ Automating software deployment using tools likePuppet,Chef, andAnsible.
β’ Continuous integration tools such asJenkins.
β’ Open source technologies and tools.
β’ Systems and IT operations.
β’ Data management with a focus on automation tools.
β’ Revision control systems (e.g.,GitHub) including branching and tagging strategies.
β’ Provisioning and managing applications in virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS,OpenStackpreferred).
β’ Deployment and network operations or sysadmin tasks with scripting and coding experience.
β’ Containerization technologies such asDockerandKubernetes.
Preferred Skills
β’ Operational knowledge ofKubernetes.
β’ Proficiency inGoLang.
β’ Experience withContinuous IntegrationandContinuous Deploymentprocesses.
