Role description
Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a DevOps Engineer. In this contract position, you will gather technical requirements, design, implement, and maintain mission-critical DevSecOps services that are scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant
Major Duties
• Consult with client stakeholders on strategies for deployment of new technology implementations, and monitor to develop a migration strategy from the current system using CI/CD pipeline
• Ensure solutions are implemented and delivered with best practices, standards, and appropriate controls based on the business need
• Mentor team members on AWS design and implementation while creating runbooks documenting implementation and standardized processes to maintain the platform
• Develop automation processes, code deployments, platform support and maintenance activities using automation tools like Docker, Jenkins, Veracode, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible, Liquibase
• Follow all organizational Standard Operating Procedures relative to approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflow and deliverables
What are we looking for?
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer or developer
• 4+ years of experience in DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development/Deployment using cloud technologies
• Experience analyzing customer service requirements and designing service solutions to meet those objectives
• Extensive skills experience transitioning from on premise data center services to platform and ser vices
• Experience working directly with AWS Infrastructure services and securing applications
• Extensive skills with Linux and Windows
• Experience coding and scripting (such as Python , Java, Groovy, Golang) and design experience
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Veracode, SonarQube, Xray, Bitbucket, Artifactory preferred
