DevOps Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: • Support quality engineering function and responsible for cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) development covering UAT and PROD validation requirements • Perform technical requirements and use case analysis for testing and test automation development objectives • Develop new and execute existing IaC test code, evaluate results against acceptance criteria, create/maintain bugs discovered Requirements: • Experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python, Perl, Go, and shell scripting • Experience in Hashicorp Terraform/Vault • Experience in Windows OS and Office Productivity Suite of applications • Strong experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket) • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation • Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Insomnia) • Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments • Familiarity with industry standard cloud platforms and their DevOps services • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; comfortable speaking out in a team or project setting • Automation Testing • Expertise working in a CI/CD pipeline controlled environment leveraging a standard IDE (MSVS), and required tools/apps that facilitate the pipeline • Versed in server operating systems and configurations (Windows and Linux), infrastructure hosting components, and cloud virtualization technology for Infrastructure as a Service enablement Desired skills: • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies • Familiarity with Jira for task and issue tracking • Experience with service validation and testing in enterprise environments Pay Range: $53.38-$61.38 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
