Job Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension) Job Description: Required Skills & Experience 6+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering roles. Expertise in software development design patterns. Familiarity with Generative AI and common application integration pattern (RAG, tool calling, agentic workflows) Good experience leading developers across multiple application workstreams in the application delivery lifecycle. Expertise in Kubernetes administration (CKA, CKAD, or CKS certifications preferred). Deep understanding of Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and hardening. Solid knowledge of Docker and container orchestration. Experience with Azure Cloud Services (AKS, Networking, Identity, Monitoring). Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs). Proficiency in Bash scripting, Python, and JavaScript (React, Node.js). Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred, Azure DevOps or Jenkins acceptable). Good troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application layers. Deep understanding of source code management with Git. Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana). Preferred Qualifications: Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD). Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi). Experience supporting microservices architectures and service meshes (Istio, Linkerd). Security knowledge (secrets management, network policies, RBAC, least privilege principles). Experience in cloud-native SaaS environments. Good collaboration and mentoring skills within DevOps and development teams. Experience collaborating on performance and load testing to identify application bottlenecks. Both are leads of workstreams/services, will work directly with these two leads, and participate in scrum teams Participate in chat - raise issues questions blockages Working across workstreams, looking at architecture and scaling, unblocking developers, defining patterns of how they implement to ensure they meet business needs Ideally an appdev background, intimate knowledge of Kubernetes, exp with GEN AI huge +, familiarity with patterns (agentic workflows, and how to interact from a dev perspective) Covering multiple workstreams of different products (shared service across the firm for other teams devs) one is a genai solution for devs and business users HEAVY utilization is key, high level enterprise environments required , need to be able to help scale apps to larger user bases KUBERNETES IS REQUIRED BASELINE BASH FOR OPERATING AND ORCHESTRATING CONTAINERS (HELM CHARTS) Python exp is great, reviewing and enhancing existing scripts, but if they have an app dev background they should be able to test devs work to identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot Team is active and chatty, need to constantly communicate what they are doing throughout the day Understanding of private networking in a cloud environment and understand firewall issues and how traffic at different layers works.
