Contract
Must Have Skills
β’ 1 or more modern programming language (Java/Go/Python/Ruby)
β’ Automation Tooling (IaC: Terraform or similar, Ci/CD, release validation)
β’ AWS (multi-region, scaling, DR)
β’ Distributed System Design
β’ Incident Management (RCA, retrospectives)
β’ Performance & Reliability Engineering (latency optimization, load testing, capacity planning, chaos engineering, failure injection)
JOB DESCRIPTION
β’ Build and maintain the production infrastructure and services.
β’ Ensure proper security for the infrastructure.
β’ Troubleshoot production issues.
β’ Develop/maintain processes, tools, and documentation in support of production.
β’ Participate in the evaluation of new software, hardware, and infrastructure solutions.
β’ Experience as a er working with large distributed systems
β’ Experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e.g. Go, Java, Python, Perl, Shell)
β’ Experience with a continuous integration and delivery model of deploying software
β’ Automation skills with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack or similar
β’ Experience with one or more of the following: PHP, Go, Python, Scala, Ruby, Javascript, Memcached, LAMP, nginx, node.js, nosql, Varnish
β’ Working knowledge of software development methodologies including code profiling, regression testing, continuous integration and push button deployments
β’ Experience as either a LAMP stack software developer and/or systems administrator/systems engineer
β’ Experience with high-availability, high-performance, open source web technologies
β’ Experience with cloud platforms, open source databases and caching layers
β’ Automates all infrastructure build out in AWS utilizing Ansible, Packer, and Terraform
β’ Distributed Systems, DFS, Kubernetes (k8s), Sarm, Mesosphere, Docker, Services Discovery, Container Orchestration, DFW, Apache, SPark, Hadoop, CLI, API, DevOps, Consul, vault, and microservice.
Qualifications/Education:
β’ Degree or equivalent experience.
β’ Experience in scripting and development.
β’ Experience with open source monitoring and alerting systems.
β’ Experience with web applications.
β’ IP networking experience, LB technologies.
β’ Experience with systems automation.
β’ Experience with big data systems.
