Weβre supporting a public sector healthcare-focused programme in their search for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join an established engineering team. This is a long-term contract with high-impact work, focused on modernising critical platforms to better serve users across the UK.
Youβll be joining a project already underway, working with a team committed to delivering scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Contribute to the re-platforming of legacy systems to a modern, serverless AWS architecture using services such as EKS, Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, and API Gateway.
β’ Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, focusing on automation, system stability and deployment efficiency.
β’ Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, enabling scalable and cost-effective cloud environments.
β’ Integrate and run security assessments using tools like SonarCloud and Gitleaks within the CI/CD process to ensure code quality and compliance.
β’ Support automated testing and validation in Dev/Test environments, promoting agile development and early issue detection.
β’ Share knowledge and provide support to new and existing team members, helping foster a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Essential Experience:
β’ Proven background in AWS DevOps engineering, ideally in mid-level roles.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and a wide range of AWS services.
β’ Prior experience working in or supporting the UK healthcare sector.
β’ Comfortable working independently in a remote, distributed team.
β’ Able to start immediately or at short notice, subject to BPSS clearance.
