We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our applications within the AWS environment. You will collaborate closely with both the application development team and the security team, acting as a vital liaison to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective solutions. Your responsibilities will include testing software for security flaws, automating processes to enhance efficiency, and ensuring that applications remain secure after each update. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the application and processes are secure after every update by identifying vulnerabilities and proposing fixes.
- Serve as the liaison between the application development team and the security team.
- Identify areas of the application and processes that can be automated to streamline workflows.
- Conduct application scanning and testing to detect security issues.
- Track findings to validate decisions made regarding application security.
Skills:
- Strong experience in application scanning and vulnerability testing.
- Proficient in AWS or Azure environments (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of SAST, DAST, SCA, and API scanning methodologies.
- Familiarity with tool integration and automation (e.g., GitLab, Veracode, Ansible, Terraform).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and SDLC security best practices.
- Proficient in coding languages such as Python, Apex, or Flutter.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree or relevant experience (degree preferred).
- At least 3 years of experience in Application Security (AppSec) or DevSecOps.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with AppSec or DevSecOps specifically in AWS environments.
