Title: Senior DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineer Job Type: Full-Time Contract Length: TBD Pay Range: ~75-100/hr Target Start Date: ASAP Location: Boston, MA About The Opportunity Our client, a leader in Data Platforms and Cloud Infrastructure, is looking for a skilled Senior DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineer to join their team for a high-impact engagement. This project involves architecting and operating secure, scalable AWS infrastructure supporting a high-availability data platform. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include: β€’ Architect and operate secure, scalable AWS infrastructure supporting a high-availability data platform. β€’ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines enabling reliable, automated deployments. β€’ Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. β€’ Design and manage containerized environments (EKS, Kubernetes, Docker). β€’ Ensure platform uptime, reliability, and performance for real-time API and data services. β€’ Implement full observability stack (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting). β€’ Enforce security, compliance, and operational best practices aligned with enterprise standards. β€’ Optimize cloud cost, scalability, and system performance. β€’ Partner with engineering, security, and product teams to enable platform growth. Required Skills & Experience: We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have: β€’ 7+ years of experience in a similar role, specifically in DevOps / Cloud Engineering. β€’ Deep expertise in AWS (VPC, IAM, EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, networking, security). This isn't a learning roleβ€”you need to be a subject matter expert. β€’ Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals. β€’ Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred), building and scaling production cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipeline architecture and automation. β€’ Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
