Role description
Seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the migration of existing CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to Harness. This is a critical, time-bound initiative with a target to retire Jenkins by year-end. The ideal candidate is highly self-driven, requires minimal handholding, and can engage directly with the Harness team to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead the end-to-end migration of CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to Harness.
β’ Conduct discovery and research to understand the existing pipeline architecture and workflows.
β’ Drive technical discussions with the Harness team to identify best practices and resolve integration challenges.
β’ Learn and adapt to GoLang quickly for pipeline scripting and automation (no current internal support for Harness or GoLang).
β’ Ensure successful conversion and operational readiness of pipelines within the 3-month project window.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate builds, deployments, and environment configurations in Harness.
β’ Document migration process, architecture changes, and operational guidelines for long-term maintainability.
Required Qualifications
β’ 7+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience.
β’ Proven experience migrating or implementing CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
β’ Strong expertise in Harness (preferred) or demonstrable ability to quickly ramp up and lead in a new tool with minimal guidance.
β’ Familiarity with GoLang or ability to learn it independently within a short timeframe.
β’ Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts, build pipelines, and release management.
β’ Strong communication skills and the ability to lead technical conversations with vendors and internal stakeholders.
β’ Self-starter with a results-driven mindset; able to deliver under tight deadlines.
Nice-to-Have Skills
β’ Prior experience with enterprise-scale DevOps migrations.
β’ Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
β’ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
