Job Title: Dev-Ops Engineer
Work Model: Hybrid/Remote – Preference for candidates located in Lehi or San Jose. Open to remote candidates (PST/MST preferred).
Contract Details
• Duration: 6 months
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week (8 hrs/day, Monday–Friday)
• Pay Rate: Up to $69.13/hour (USD)
• Employment Type: W2 only (No H-1B sponsorship, No subcontracting)
About the Role
We are seeking a Dev-Ops Engineer to join our Observability team, with a primary focus on supporting and improving our Splunk infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing user support tickets, handling client escalations, and modernizing deployment mechanisms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in observability tools, cloud platforms, automation, and deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and support internal logging systems (Splunk, Loki, Elastic, Click house) to improve performance and stability.
• Handle internal support tickets and client escalations.
• Enhance deployment mechanisms using tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Design and implement systems for fault tolerance, scalability, and stability.
• Develop integrations and applications for large-scale observability environments.
• Deploy and operate distributed applications on cloud platforms.
• Ensure high uptime and quality of service (QoS) for Adobe’s customers through operational excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally, effectively communicating technical solutions and driving projects to completion.
• Contribute to the technical direction and strategic decisions of the team.
Required Skills & Experience
• Hands-on experience with internally hosted logging systems (Splunk, Loki, Elastic, Click house).
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (public and/or private).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (e.g., Salt).
• Proficiency with deployment and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Proven ability to design and maintain production monitoring systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in performance and stability issues.
• Experience in developing, deploying, and managing distributed systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
