Role description
Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Hybrid – Jacksonville, FL (3 days onsite a week) – or willing to relocate
Duration: 6 month contract to hire (no sponsorship available)
Must have: Needs to have strong terraform and GCP expertise. Hands on
Must be hands on with Terraform and GCP. Needs strong GCP will not take people with only aws or azure. If they can relocate and motivated to do so that will work. But needs to be onsite day one
The Role:
Our Cloud Enablement team is looking for a high-caliber, well-rounded cloud technology professional with experience partnering with application teams to bring solutions to market. This DevOps + GCP Cloud Engineering role will design and develop the Infrastructure-As-Code (terraform) solutions that our applications rely upon, as well as design and manage our internal developer platform (IDP) integrated suite of solutions. The candidate will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and management of our path-to-production experience.
What You'll Do:
• Help in developing standards for deploying, and running infrastructure & applications on our internal developer platform (IDP) and shared infrastructure solutions in our hybrid cloud environment (GCP)
• Bring Kubernetes to a wide a range of use cases across our platforms, including our own tooling, as part of our cloud first transformation.
Requirements (MUST HAVE):
• DevOps / DevSecOps / cloud platform engineering experience in a hybrid cloud environment (GCP + AWS)
• proven experience using Hashicorp Terraform for Infrastructure as Code to write advanced modules for deploying infrastructure or services which will provide automated & self-service deployment services.
• proven experience developing and maintaining the automated lifecycle of compute and containerized images for standard use and consumption within a hybrid cloud environment.
• applied experience in designing and scaling large server and Kubernetes environments preferably used in automated and/or self-service environments.
• Advanced applied knowledge and experience using some of the following tools: Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Harness, Artifactory, Ansible, Cloud Deployment Manager, Splunk
• Strong and hands-on GCP cloud experience required
