🚀 Senior DevSecOps Engineer – 100% AWS-Based Project (No Azure) 📍 Location: Chicago, IL (Local Candidates Only – 3 Days Onsite per Week) 🕒 Contract Length: Long-term (Initial 6 Months, Strong Potential for Extension) 🔹 Local candidates only – must be available for 3 days onsite in Chicago, IL. 🔹 Immediate start available. 🔹W2 Only - No C2C candidates are acceptable Overview We’re seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes to join a high-impact client engagement. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in modern cloud-native, security-driven environments and enjoys hands-on problem-solving, automation, and scalability challenges. This position requires 3 days onsite in Chicago each week — travel expenses are covered. Key Responsibilities • Manage and optimize complex Kubernetes environments, including Helm chart troubleshooting and deployment automation. • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines — ideally leveraging Harness or similar tools. • Champion DevSecOps best practices, integrating security seamlessly into development and deployment workflows. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions. • Engage in long-term client initiatives, with opportunities for extension beyond the initial term. Required Skills & Experience • Proven expertise with Kubernetes and Helm chart troubleshooting. • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline automation (Harness experience preferred). • Solid background in DevSecOps, emphasizing cloud security integration. • Deep proficiency in AWS cloud environments (❌ No Azure or on-premises experience required). Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Argo CD or similar deployment tools. • Prior consulting or client-facing project experience. • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and collaborate across vendors and teams. Not a Fit If You’re Focused On • Traditional platform engineering (e.g., landing zones, EC2/compute, IAM, networking, FinOps). • Azure or on-premises infrastructures — this is a 100% AWS-based role.
