Overview:
Develop DevOps tools and frameworks, CI/CD pipelines to automation. Must have python development not just scripting.
Play a leading role in a Software Engineering team responsible for developing enterprise DevOps tools and a CI/CD framework to quickly provision pipelines and facilitate development of enterprise applications and fully automate their delivery.
Responsibilities:
β’ Write high-quality code
β’ Ensure extensive automated test coverage
β’ Documentation.
β’ Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and influencing team direction
β’ Assist in the creation and refinement of stories
β’ Review code to ensure adherence to highest quality standards
β’ Mentoring/coaching junior developers
β’ Presenting and demonstrating concepts/projects to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications:
β’ Minimum 7 years total experience, 5 years coding experience.
Hands-on experience required:
β’ leading software projects and functioning as SME/point of reference of an engineering team
β’ Working in Agile and DevOps cultures
β’ Working on automation and process improvement projects
β’ Direct experience as DevOps Engineer
β’ Ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented, and demanding IT environment while focusing strongly on business outcomes
β’ Self-starter β takes the initiative to research, learn, and deliver. Anticipates the play.
β’ Team player β listens to teammates, is collaborative and focused on making sure the entire team succeeds.
Technical Skills:
β’ Must have worked professionally with Python hands-on for no less than 2 years, preferably closer to 5 years
β’ 3+ years hands-on experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and Terraform (preferably Enterprise)
β’ Experience writing unit and integration tests with frameworks such as pytest and unittest
β’ Working experience with cloud ecosystems, preferably AWS
β’ Kubernetes platform experience
β’ Git or GitLab repository experience
β’ Experience with SRE, nice to have.
β’ Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
β’ Experience using GitHub, Make, Docker Compose, Helm and Artifactory as CI/CD tools desirable
β’ Knowledge of Linux, bash, Java, Splunk, Jira, OWASP Top 10 and ServiceNow a plus
Education and/or Experience:
β’ Bachelorβs degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering or similar or equivalent work experience.
