Position: Senior DevOps Engineer

Duration: 6 12 months (W2 Contract)
About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Apache Kafka and Kubernetes to join our team onsite in Conshohocken, PA. This is a 6 12 month W2 contract role supporting critical enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in building and managing cloud-native infrastructure, with additional exposure to AWS and Azure being a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
Architect and manage Kafka clusters for enterprise-grade data pipelines.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, Helm.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery.
Manage infrastructure and services across AWS and Azure.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) to ensure reliability.
Work closely with development and operations teams to deliver scalable and secure systems.
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and cloud best practices.
Must-Have Skills
8+ years of DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering experience.
Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes (K8s).
Expert knowledge of Apache Kafka (cluster setup, monitoring, tuning, performance).
Solid experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.).
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible).
Strong Linux, networking, and containerization background.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS) and Azure (AKS, VNets, Blob Storage).
Familiarity with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
Automation scripting in Python, Bash, Go.
Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices.
