Job Description:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to manage infrastructure and system operations in a highly secure and scalable environment. The role involves performing middleware and database upgrades, applying patches, and addressing security vulnerabilities across platforms including MQ, COTS, and various databases.
The engineer will be responsible for rehydrating cloud instances on AWS, OCI, Azure, and GCP to meet security requirements. They will also optimize system performance through tuning JVM, database queries, and cloud configurations, as well as support load testing for major events.
Production support includes participating in incident bridges, resolving service degradations, and providing both on-desk and on-call support. The role also involves managing change requests, participating in daily change calls, and coordinating changes with impacted teams.
Operational tasks include new installations, cluster rebuilds, tech refreshes, software cleanup, and decommissioning unused assets. The engineer will also work closely with network teams to implement firewall rules and load balancer changes, and manage certificate implementations and renewals across all layers including applications, DBs, MQ, and Apigee.
