Role description
Job title: Digital Commerce Financial Reporting Analyst
Location: Slough (hybrid, 1 day per week on site)
Contract Length: 3 months, potential to extend
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Digital Commerce Financial Reporting Analyst on behalf of a well known FMCG food company.
Job Role
You will act as the primary Data Owner for UK Digital Commerce data. Your mission is to ensure that the global scorecard accurately reflects our UK snacking business. You will bridge the gap between regional teams and global reporting leads, making sure every pound of net sales value is accounted for.
The role is responsible for:
β’ Data Integrity & Validation: Use a variety of sources to validate metrics for each customer. Youβll be the "detective" spotting inconsistencies or missing data when vendors change platforms.
β’ The "Manual 20%": While 80% of data is automated, you will manually scrape and track data for customers not yet on the digital scorecard, applying manual trade percentages and P&L metrics.
β’ Systems & Testing: Lead testing on OneConsolidation and the DCom Scorecard, reworking financial codes (1CPL) to ensure global alignment.
β’ Strategic POV: By the end of the contract, you will provide an independent recommendation on our long-term reporting strategyβdetermining if the current scorecard meets UK needs or if an alternative method is required.
β’ Dashboard Management: Maintain and update Power BI dashboards specifically for the Snacking category.
Requirements for the role:
β’ Non-negotiable: You must have experience within the FMCG or Retail industry.
β’ Financial Expertise: You have a thorough understanding of P&L elements, net sales values, and trade percentages.
β’ Data Specialist: You are advanced in Power BI and Excel, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and spot trends or anomalies that others might miss.
β’ Stakeholder Management: You can navigate conversations with global IT teams just as easily as you can present insights to senior UK stakeholders.
β’ Problem Solver: You are comfortable with ambiguity and have the "grit" to manually hunt down data when automated systems fail.
We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and encourage all qualified candidates to apply. While the hiring process may not be expedited, we urge all interested candidates to submit their applications promptly to ensure their consideration.
