This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Digital Transformation Technical Contractor in the United States. We are seeking a skilled Digital Transformation Technical Contractor to support higher education institutions in strengthening their data infrastructure, integrating systems, and driving student success through technology. This role combines deep technical expertise with coaching and advisory responsibilities, enabling colleges to implement scalable, secure, and efficient digital solutions. The contractor will work closely with institutional leaders, IT teams, and technical partners to ensure alignment of data governance, system integration, and equity-focused strategies. This position offers the opportunity to impact student outcomes directly while collaborating with a team dedicated to innovation and institutional transformation. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and excels at translating technical solutions into actionable, strategic guidance. β€’ Accountabilities: β€’ Evaluate, design, and strengthen institutional data infrastructure, including SIS, LMS, CRM, and other student success technologies. β€’ Provide technical support for data pipelines, warehouses, and governance structures to ensure reliable and secure access. β€’ Develop dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable insights, including descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics. β€’ Advise colleges on governance frameworks, stewardship roles, access controls, and compliance with FERPA and other privacy regulations. β€’ Troubleshoot technical and integration challenges in collaboration with college IT teams and technical partners. β€’ Deliver training and coaching to build institutional capacity for digital transformation, data literacy, and technology adoption. β€’ Support cross-functional alignment between digital transformation strategies and institutional goals for student success. β€’ Requirements: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field (Master’s preferred). β€’ Experience with higher education systems (e.g., Banner, Peoplesoft, Jenzabar, Workday). β€’ Strong SQL skills and experience improving data quality. β€’ Knowledge of FERPA, privacy regulations, and higher education data structures. β€’ Familiarity with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). β€’ Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders. β€’ Preferred: Certifications in cloud services, SQL, or data governance; experience with AI/ML for higher education analytics. β€’ Strong communication, coaching, and collaboration skills with an equity-minded approach. β€’ Benefits: β€’ Flexible part-time, contractor role with remote work options. β€’ Opportunities to travel to events, college visits, and learning convenings. β€’ Engage in impactful work driving equity and student success in higher education. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical experts in a supportive environment. β€’ Professional development and exposure to advanced digital transformation initiatives.
