Role description
Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Documentum Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong experience in AWS cloud migration and D2 migration projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Documentum/Content Server, Captiva, and related ECM tools, with hands-on experience in architecture, design, migration, and performance optimization of large-scale enterprise content management systems. The candidate will play a key role in modernizing legacy Documentum platforms, migrating workloads to AWS, and upgrading D2 applications, while ensuring scalability, security, and performance in complex environments. Key Responsibilities β€’ Lead Documentum migration projects including upgrades, D2 migration, and repository consolidation. β€’ Design, implement, and support Documentum applications in AWS cloud environments. β€’ Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning of Documentum Content Server and related components. β€’ Collaborate with business and technical teams to capture requirements and design ECM/Content Services solutions. β€’ Integrate Documentum with other enterprise systems (Captiva, BPM, Workflow, WebTop, Composer, etc.). β€’ Drive automation of deployments using DevOps pipelines and Agile practices. β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, migration, and performance issues. β€’ Provide technical leadership and mentoring for Documentum and migration projects. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in Documentum and Captiva product suite. β€’ Strong hands-on expertise with: β€’ Documentum Content Server 5.x – 7.x β€’ D2 (including D2 migration projects) β€’ xPlore, DA, WebTop, Composer, BPM, SBO/TBO, DFS, CMIS, BOCS β€’ Captiva InputAccel 5.x/7.x, Recognition/Dispatcher. β€’ Proven experience with AWS Cloud (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, migration services, etc.) for hosting Documentum applications. β€’ Strong scripting/programming skills (Java/J2EE, .NET, Python, Perl, Shell, Batch). β€’ Expertise in Unix/Linux and Windows environments. β€’ Experience in migration and consolidation of large repositories (multi-TB scale). β€’ Knowledge of Agile principles and DevOps methodologies (CI/CD pipelines, automation). β€’ Performance tuning of large, complex Documentum environments. Preferred Skills β€’ Experience with third-party integrations (Vignette Portal, Blazon, Brava, OT tools). β€’ Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for ECM workloads. β€’ Familiarity with microservices and REST-based content services.
