About the role:
Serve as a senior engineering contributor delivering secure, performant, highly available solutions. Collaborate across teams, drive technical excellence, and operate e@ectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Design and build scalable, resilient distributed systems
• Implement enterprise solutions using .NET (C#) and related frameworks
• Maintain core insurance systems built on DuckCreek
• Develop and optimize services using SQL Server, Postgres, REST APIs, microservices
• Use C# and Golang where appropriate
• Leverage productivity tooling (VS Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
• Define and build reusable components and patterns (business + technical)
• Work with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation frameworks
• Monitor and debug with App Insights, Titan, and related tools
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices
• Contribute to product direction and solution design
• Collaborate across the full software lifecycle (requirements to deployment)
• Lead and participate in design and code reviews
Qualifications
• Advanced .NET ecosystem experience (C#, ASP.NET, Web API, REST, SQL Server, Visual
Studio/VS Code)
• DuckCreek product experience
• Microservices and extensible API design expertise
Sensi&vity: Company-Internal
• Experience working with XML-based data/file systems (XPath, XSD, XML serialization in .NET
etc.).
• Distributed systems architecture and scaling experience
• Experience with Azure Cloud and DevOps pipelines
• Monitoring tools: App Insights, Splunk, Titan
• Security best practices and protocols
• SQL and Postgres familiarity
• Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
• Continuous delivery / modern deployment practices
• Lifecycle tooling knowledge (planning, source, build, deploy, operations)
• Strong problem solving and mentoring capability
• E@ective technical communication
Preferred Qualifications
• GitHub Copilot / AI-assisted development experience
