Role description
DV Data Scientist Contract | Hybrid | Inside IR35 We are seeking an experienced DV Cleared Data Scientist to join a secure, high-profile government programme delivering advanced analytical capabilities within a regulated environment. This is a contract opportunity operating inside IR35, with hybrid working arrangements. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is essential. The Role As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced analytical and machine learning solutions within live operational environments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, scalable, and production-ready data science capabilities. The role requires a strong blend of statistical knowledge, software engineering discipline, and an understanding of how to operationalise models within secure systems. Key Responsibilities β€’ Develop and maintain machine learning and advanced analytics solutions β€’ Translate complex data into actionable insights and deployable models β€’ Support the operationalisation of models within production environments β€’ Contribute to automation, optimisation, and continuous improvement of analytical pipelines β€’ Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions β€’ Ensure solutions align with security, governance, and compliance standards Required Skills & Experience β€’ Active DV Clearance (mandatory) β€’ Strong programming capability, particularly in Python β€’ Experience working with modern machine learning frameworks and tooling β€’ Exposure to model lifecycle management and operationalisation practices (MLOps) β€’ Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies β€’ Understanding of automated build, test, and deployment pipelines β€’ Knowledge of data processing concepts including transformation workflows and large-scale data environments β€’ Experience contributing to scalable, cloud-aligned data platforms
