Job Title: Elux OS Engineer
Duration: long-term contract
Location: UK Based Hybrid (2-3 days from Sheffield)
As anElux OS Engineer/Specialist, youβll develop, optimize, and support the Elux operating system with a focus on performance and integration. Youβll work on SCOUT for system monitoring and predictive maintenance, help design the virtual desktop setup, and ensure compatibility with Windows 11 for a seamless user experience. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, UX, and IT teams to enhance the overall Elux platform..
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead and support the deployment, and management of Elux-based systems and devices.
β’ Deliver and maintain Windows 11 environments across end-user devices and virtual desktops.
β’ Manage and automate deployment tasks using Jenkins, Ansible, and PowerShell.
β’ Provide expert-level support for Citrix environments, including Citrix desktop delivery and user session troubleshooting.
β’ Configure and manage VMware infrastructure for desktop and app virtualization.
β’ Utilize or support the Scout Management System (nice to have).
β’ Contribute to management or deployment of Windows 365 environments (nice to have).
Required Skills and Experience:
β’ Strong knowledge of Elux systems and Linux System.
β’ Hands-on experience with Microsoft stack β specifically Windows 11 deployment and management
β’ Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and PowerShell for infrastructure automation
β’ Working knowledge of Citrix desktops, Citrix session management, and Citrix delivery groups
β’ Proficient in VMware administration and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
