Engineer 2, Software Test

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to support our growing portfolio of electromechanical medical devices, which include embedded software systems. This is a 12-month contract position with a 6-month performance review checkpoint. While full-time conversion is not guaranteed, there is potential for long-term engagement based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • The Software Test Engineer will support UCC’s ever increasing electromechanical medical device portfolio that includes software/embedded systems. • Focus on testing during design, V&V, and post release investigations for UCC products with software. • Analyze requirements, develop & run manual test cases for software V&V. • Design and develop automated tests using Python/LabVIEW or other relevant programming languages and frameworks. • Work closely with software developers and other cross-functional teams in understanding the applications and systems to test effectively. • Identify defects to improve software quality and assist software developers in resolving them. • Perform all V&V related documentation. • Participates in bug/defect risk mitigation. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related technical field. • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. • Strong knowledge of software testing. • Experience in developing automated test cases. • Proficiency in languages like Python/LabVIEW/C#. Nice to have: • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment. • Experience with embedded systems. • Familiar with Microsoft Azure DevOps. Pay Rate: $42-47/Hr • Salary will be commensurate with candidate experience
