β’ Position: System Performance Engineer II
Location: Irvine, CA
Onsite Requirement: Hybrid
13 Month Initial Contract, potential to extend up to 30 months
Description:
β’ Knowledgeable with 4G and 5G operations
β’ Able to troubleshoot common 4G and 5G issues
β’ Familiar with Volte operation and SIP protocol
β’ Able to use trending tools and to produce presentations
β’ Call flow analysis skills
β’ Evaluating service performance trends and isolating root causes of impacted services.
β’ Performing VoLTE testing and analyses of relevant key performance indicators.
β’ Coordinating technical investigations and testing with appropriate regional, area and HQ functions.
β’ Providing technical analysis, troubleshooting, and training assistance to markets and regions as requested.
β’ Optimizing LTE, 5G, and RAN networks using traditional and innovative means.
β’ Investigating and resolving customer complaints regarding service.
β’ Good at producing reports and presentations
You'll need to have:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering with two or more years of work experience.
β’ Knowledge of LTE, 5G including VoLTE and RAN networks.
β’ Knowledge of at least one data collection tool such as Datapro, DMAT, and TEMS Symphony.
β’ Knowledge of data analysis/post-processing tools such as Irisview, Windcatcher/Actix/TEMS Discovery.
β’ Knowledge of propagation and optimization modeling tools such as Atoll, Planet, GeoPlan, ACP, DB Planner.
β’ Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python, Perl, Unix, scripting tools.
β’ Knowledge of mapping software such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, Topo.
β’ Knowledge of Ericsson systems including OSS and 3GPP LTE/5G standards.
β’ Ability to differentiate and diagnose RAN and CORE related problems.
β’ Understanding of IMS and systems engineering aspects related to RAN and proficiency in Core level call flow analysis.
JOB DUTIES:
β’ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to find root cause of network issues.
β’ Must be acquainted with 5G and 4G RAN functionality.
β’ Producing reports and presentations for root cause analysis of issues.
β’ Auditing parameters and verifying call/connectivity functionality
β’ Root cause analysis of call issues
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
β’ BSEE or other Engineering
LOGISTICS:
β’ Shift: Typically from 8am to 5pm
β’ May be asked occasionally to work weekends
