Title: Engineering Lead Location : Rockvile, MD Target Start Date : June 2, 2025 Type: contract or contract to hire (depending on candidate) Pay Rate: DOE We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Lead to spearhead our Agile development team focused on delivering full-stack solutions within the AWS cloud, particularly in the big data and analytics domain. This role demands a hands-on leader who exemplifies engineering excellence, fosters team growth, and drives innovation. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Technical Leadership: Guide the engineering team in developing scalable, high-quality software solutions on AWS, emphasizing big data and analytics applications. β€’ Full-Stack Development: Oversee the design and implementation of front-end interfaces using Angular and back-end services leveraging Java and Spring Boot. β€’ Big Data Solutions: Architect and implement data processing pipelines utilizing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Presto, and Hive to manage large-scale datasets. β€’ Cloud Architecture: Design and maintain robust AWS cloud infrastructures, employing services like S3, Redshift, Lambda, and Glue for optimal performance and cost-efficiency. β€’ Agile Project Management: Lead cross-functional Scrum teams, ensuring timely delivery of features and adherence to Agile best practices. β€’ Team Development: Mentor engineers, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. β€’ Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives. β€’ Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, advocate for best engineering practices, and drive the adoption of new tools and methodologies.
